Catalyst Lab – The Future Laboratory for Systems Change
The Catalyst Lab is a 9-month-long learning process, designed to empower changemakers and enables collaboration toward the SDGs. The process is intended for dedicated individuals (Catalysts) and their teams, who are committed to implementing the 2030 Agenda in Switzerland.
The first edition of the Catalyst Lab started in 2019.
Our Vision
Our vision is a Switzerland where the values of ecological responsibility, humanity and the common good are guiding individual and collective action. With the Catalyst Lab, we empower dedicated changemakers to provoke change on a systemic level, enabling systems change that addresses the root causes of today’s challenges.
Our Approach
The Catalyst Lab is an experience-oriented training that provides up-to-date knowledge about the requirements for transformation and methodological competence to drive systems change.
The Catalyst Lab process is based on Theory U, a highly effective change management theory developed by Otto Scharmer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and other core methods such as Art of Hosting, Sociocracy 3.0 and the Social Lab approach by Zaid Hassan.
Addressing Key Needs
Introducing an awareness-based approach to systems change, the Catalysts develop essential skills to understand and successfully work in complex environments of change.
The Catalyst Lab fosters a deep understanding of the complexity of systems change and each stakeholder’s role within the process, revealing insights and leverage points that encourage collaboration.
The Catalyst Lab provides a space of exchange, exploration, and experimentation, where Catalysts can learn, grow and implement new methods in their work.
Beyond the Catalyst Lab, collaboratio helvetica nurtures a rich community of changemakers all over Switzerland, fostering knowledge sharing, collaboration and support towards our common goal of a regenerative society.
