Biodiversity Lab by Brainforest: System Mapping Workshop
Collaboratio helvetica designed and facilitated an international and multilingual workshop for the Biodiversity Lab, a project by the Swiss association Brainforest. The workshop aimed at mapping the systems that contribute to biodiversity loss in the Peruvian Amazon to allow for a deeper understanding of the complexity of the issue, recognise the involved sectors and identify possible leverage points for developing impactful solutions.
Our Vision
The vision for this project is to support Brainforest to address the complexity of the system and leverage points to make a significant positive impact on biodiversity preservation and regeneration in forests.
Our Approach
The workshop took place online on April 19, 2023, with >40 participants representing a wide range of stakeholder groups from different parts of Europe and South America.
We deepened the stakeholders’ knowledge involving facts, interrelationships and consequences of biodiversity loss by embodying a systemic and participatory approach, leading to finding a common ground on which to identify leverage points.
