The societal challenges that we are facing today are complex and can feel overwhelming at times. Each situation is interrelated with many other aspects and unique. It therefore requires a careful, present and courageous approach.
When engaging in systems change work, a whole new set of leadership qualities and skills is required that will enable us to shift our focus from an ego- to an ecosystem-perspective. How do we sense what is happening in a system? How do we know when it’s the right time for an intervention of systemic relevance, and what would be the shape of such an intervention? Who are the right people to bring together? How do we track what is unfolding, receive its hidden messages and make meaning together?
In this workshop you will get an introduction to:
What ecosystem awareness means
What leadership qualities are required to contribute in a meaningful way to systemic change work, and what are practices that can support this
Get an introduction to system mapping as a concrete tool that can help you make sense of your system
Create a first system map around a topic that you are working on / where you want to contribute to a systemic change
