2030 Dialogue for Sustainable Development
Systemic change is needed to successfully implement the 2030 Agenda and achieve the SDGs in Switzerland as well as to tackle the deeper laying root causes that are driving today's polycrises. In collaboratio helvetica’s understanding, this can only happen with inclusive and participatory approaches and partnerships across sectors and topics. We are convinced that Switzerland has a unique potential to build on its history of collaboration and dialogue across language, religions and other barriers to enable societal transformation.
The Swiss federal government established the “2030 Dialogue for Sustainable Development” to enable a broad and transverse discussion about sustainable development and to encourage all of those concerned to share their expertise and interests. One of its primary aims is to discuss interdisciplinary issues relating to the 2030 Agenda, and priorities for the latter's implementation by Switzerland.
Together with the Federal Office for Spatial Development ARE and öbu - the association for sustainable business, collaboratio helvetica is inviting to a series of dialogues between the federal government and companies (especially SMEs) to explore the opportunities and challenges around the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Switzerland. Collaboratio helvetica is in charge of design and facilitation of the events and has co-shaped an interactive program. It starts with an introduction into the sustainable development policy of the federal government, giving inspiration through practical experience sharing from SMEs who are already aligning their business practices with the goals of sustainable development, and ends with a participatory exploration of opportunities and challenges in a dialogue setting, where representatives of SMEs can also formulate their needs and expectations to the federal government.
The target audience of the dialogue events are representatives from SMEs in different geographic areas of Switzerland. During the event...
Participants will learn from federal representatives how the framework conditions for Swiss companies, especially SMEs, are changing as a result of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Through the use of practical examples from the region, participants can see what opportunities and challenges arise for Swiss companies through the implementation of the SDGs
In a dialogue conversation, participants will clarify what they and their organisations need in order to be able to implement the desired sustainability goals
They will get to know important organizations and initiatives that will help them harness the added value and opportunities of the SDGs for their company
The dialogue series was launched in January 2021 and will last until the beginning of 2022, with a total of 4 events.
