Jana Novotny, Dr. Phil., is an artistic director with a decade of experience as artistic director at the Fumetto Comic Festival Luzern. With her background in arts, theater, storytelling, and community building, Jana is deeply engaged in connecting diverse experiences and knowledge for a more equal future. She believes in the positive power that lies in transformation, especially in the potential that can be freed by surmounting fear. Her mission is to foster positive change by initiating sustainable projects, events, and spaces for participation and empowerment. Since 2022, she has been the project manager at Ateliers du Futur, an initiative launched by Science et Cité and the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences. While encouraging dialogues between the academic world and the public, it targets younger generations with the aim to unite and amplify sustainable initiatives across Switzerland.
