Cristian Martucci is currently pursuing a medical doctorate in public health at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, focusing on the relationship between heat and health. Over the past four years, he has actively participated in various climate justice groups, and he is an active member of the Health for Future initiative, where he contributes to integrating the concept of planetary health into the training of health professionals in Switzerland. He thus co-organized the master’s module on planetary health at the University of Basel medicine department, which is running for the third time. Cristian believes that the complex challenges we are facing today can only be understood in a holistic approach that links the individual to the ecosystem of the planet.
