Youth4Switzerland

Youth4Switzerland is a collaborative effort led by collaboratio helvetica and partner organisations, responding to the urgent call from young people who advocate for sustainability and SDGs.  

Our Vision

Youth4Switzerland aimed to catalyze systemic change by empowering young changemakers to become young leaders and promoting meaningful youth engagement towards the SDGs across Switzerland. 

Our Approach

• Creating a platform for young changemakers to identify and articulate their needs and co-create solutions.

• Fostering grassroots insights by employing action research methodologies, including interviews, dialogues, workshops, and a retreat.

• Facilitating emancipatory dialogues by bridging generational and sectoral gaps.  

Addressing Key Needs

1.     Enhanced Connectivity & Amplified Voices: Young leaders seek stronger connections with stakeholders to enhance their impact. We expanded our reach through collaborative events like the International Cooperation Forum, and the 2291 Festival, fostering critical discussions and awareness.

2.     Capacity Building: There's a need to develop skills and partnerships for systemic change. We provided a 3-day retreat for young changemakers, focusing on personal growth and community-building within a systems change context.

3.     Meaningful Engagement: Youth representation in Swiss institutions must go beyond symbolism. Our approach emphasizes engaging young people, nurturing leadership, and promoting holistic sustainability solutions.
