Systemic change is needed to implement the 2030 Agenda and achieve the SDGs in Switzerland, and it can only happen with participatory approaches and partnerships across sectors. The societal challenges we are facing are too multilayered and complex to be addressed in a meaningful way just by one organisation or even one sector. But how do we achieve that? How do we build meaningful partnerships across sectors? In this workshop we will share our experience and give you an introduction to the process of convening stakeholders we have developed for the Catalyst Lab. In this workshop you will learn:

• Why cross-sector partnerships, collaboration capacities and multi stakeholder processes are needed for systemic change work.

• How to contact and engage stakeholders of the system / topic you are working on.

• Get an introduction to effective ways on how to engage stakeholders that you can use both for getting a deeper understanding of your system and building meaningful partnerships, including stakeholder interviews and multi-stakeholder workshops.

• Tips and tricks on what to pay attention to when building partnerships across sectors.
