University Collaborations

Collaborations with universities and higher education institutions are an important part of our work, fostering awareness-based and systemic approaches to sustainable change.

These are our collaborations in 2024:

Workshop for Executives at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Business (HWZ)

As part of the module "Dealing with the Unknown Future" of the Executive Master of Business Administration programme at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Business (HWZ), Diana Oser from collaboratio helvetica facilitated a workshop for executives enrolled in the programme. Participants examined connections between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and challenges in their sectors and organisations. Using system mapping, they analysed complex interdependencies within their fields to identify leverage points for initial interventions.

Partnership with IDG Hub St. Gallen from the University of St. Gallen (HSG)

We collaborated with IDG Hub St. Gallen (an initiative by the University of St. Gallen) to explore the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) more deeply and discuss ways to integrate them into university curricula and business practices. Following a major kick-off meeting with various stakeholders from the St. Gallen area, we formed a small working group that met in monthly intervals to exchange experiences, share ideas and collaborate on fostering inner development for systems change.

Lecture on Systems Change at the University of Maastricht

As part of a symposium on sustainability, Katalin Hausel from collaboratio helvetica gave a lecture on systems change at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health to explore how to weave sustainability into the curriculum.

Workshop introducing Systems Change at the University of Geneva (UNIGE)

As part of the Master’s programme in Innovation, Human Development and Sustainability at the University of Geneva (UNIGE), we held our yearly recurring half-day workshop introducing systems thinking and awareness-based systems change. The workshop allowed students to deepen their understanding of their topics and strengthen their policy proposals using our tools.

Workshop introducing Systems Thinking at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH)

Introducing systems thinking, we gave a half-day workshop at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), where the incoming Master students of the Food Science programme had the opportunity to explore and discuss the challenges of navigating complex social systems, mapping one social challenge on the iceberg model.
