We would love to see some of you there. We would also love to see some experimental Catalyst participatory spaces pop up for a little while, to engage with the festivalgoers.

Let’s create a string of mini-participatory spaces like in Lucerne at the Agora der Zukunftvoegel, kind of making a real life experience of ‘below the waterline’ approach to nudging our complex and disfunctional systems to change.

Maybe it is hard to imagine that such a marginal festival in the back of nowhere could be part of a thunderous and much needed systems transformation.

And yet, think about Woodstock, think about Burning Man.

Culture is transformed through small experimental and radical spaces. While every one of us is doing something in our own life to challenge different status quos, coming together and celebrate the slow but steady burgeoning of small individual and group inventions, practices, thoughts, activities, and creations allows for the individual work to become visibly part of the cultural transformation that is happening. And upscale the sense of possible, even just for a weekend.

Please think about it, and come along, to sprout new tentacles for the beautiful future we all are holding onto already, barely, gently, tentatively, with our fingertips.
